Which way to advance?

Which i have to turn the distributer to advance the engine?

what exactly the meaning of advancing,

giving the spark before piston come to TDC or giving the spark after piston come to TDC?

clockwise to advance, anticlock wise to retard, assuming you mean advance is to increase the BTDC timing, never am quite sure which is which !! lol

Yes, increase, as when a vacuum advance is fitted, it (sucks) the ignition forward.

yup thats right guessWorks the rotor arm turns anti clockwise! so turning the cap clock wise will mean that the point line up sooner thus advance! :lol:
