I believe there was a topic about this a month or so ago, so you may want to try searching for that, but the general jist of it was to use either warmy soapy water, some other lubricant and there is also a special tool available from MiniSpares, but it may or may not be a good idea to make your own (depending on who you asked!)

As Jammy said, this was discussed within the past month or so.

I bought one of the special tools when I installed my windshield and can honestly say that it makes a world of difference. It is money well spent. I've been told that homemade tools work just as well, but I haven't made my own my comments about that are only hearsay.

Hiya
first get the little doozy from minispares. They cost about 6 quid.
Next get the rubber dampened with a little washing up liquid in water, splosh it on with a paint brush.KEEP IT Wet
Stick a bit of the chrome strip in the channel in the rubber. Slide the minispares doozy over the strip so that you seem to be pushing the strip into the channel- the chrome will be loading into the channel coming ov ert he back of your hand. GENTLY slide the doozy forward at an angle of about 45 degrees. You can see the chrome strip going in nicely as the doozy opens the rubber channel as you gently push.
Get to the end ( i.e. back to where you started ) and then use your thumb to press the last bit in place after you have removed the doozy.
its easy- even i can do it.
cheers
