We have tried everything!! The hazards work but not the indicators.
We have checked and re-checked all the wiring.
We have checked all the fuses, we have even changed the switches inside the car but no luck.
We are absolutely flumexed!!
We don't know what else to do except for get it into a garage. We have spent two days trying to work this out, they worked when I first had the car but after having it renovated no luck with it, any ideas?? :erm:

Have you checked all the earth's on the electrical system? Sometimes just having a bad earth from rust or even a bolt not quite tight anough can do funny things to the electrics.

Haven't checked all the earths on the wiring, have to check bolts as well.
Hopefully it could be something like that?

Give it a go. The best thing to do is to undo all the earth bolts one by one and give the bolt and the area around the hole a wire brush to remove any paint and rust. Give the bolt a very small dab of grease (just to make it sure it can be undone in the future), then put the bolt back and tighten it up. Do this on all the earths you can find/get to, and see how it goes then. It does sound like that sort of a problem to be honest. See how it goes.
Hope that helps!

Does that work in the dark too??? plus I know that people don't indicate much but when you haven;t got any indicators its amazing how much you really need them!!

I had this problem on my old car, took me days to fix it. All it was in the end was the fuse. My dad knocked it accidently and they came on. We found out that if we very lightly touched the fuse, they came on and off every time. It does it in my new car too. Its really odd. Turn the ignition on ( not the so the engine is running) and turn one of your indicators on. Then very lightly rub your finger over the fuse.. Works every time for me!!
I was driving along the other day and the indicators went out, so I pulled over..did that and they came back!!

There might be a short in the circuit, although that would probably blow your fuse...
Check corroded wires and as mentioned above faulty earth/connections (e.g. wires going to fusebox, wires into switch etc.)
