Hi All

Fitted my KAD quick shift recently and it looks absolutley amazing. However my initial exuberence was soon tamed when i took Delilah up and down the quiet cul de sac as its not taxed insured or mot'ed and found that i can no longer select 2nd gear and when i try to use reverse the car moves about a foot and then pops out of gear?

Havnt tried 4th yet as Delilah currently has no brakes either and i cant go to fast.

Has anybody else had a similar problem with a KAD quickshift and if so how did you remedy it?

I should add that 1st gear and 3rd gear are fine and before i fitted the KAD quickshift i had a cheap and nasty one fitted but could select all gears with that no problems??? :P

it is said somewhere about this, maybe on a cheap copy page.....

basically its the bottom of the shift arm thats too long and doesnt allow the engagement to change gear esp reverse as it liftf to change....

cutting bits off the bottom at a time till it shifts ok is the way to go....

Thx for the reply but i cant cut bits off the bottom as its the later version with the lift collor. So when you pull on the collar the bottom bit below the ball retracts back up into the ball itself if that makes sense??

Quessworks its a Genuine KAD

I had a cheap and nasty one fitted before and evetually got it to work by doing the usual file down the ball till its smaller but I was never really happy with it and so binned it and bought the real deal just annoyed at the moment that the cheapo one eventully worked and now the expensive real deal one doesnt? :D
