hi every body this week ive been having a go at tunning my mpi , sure i could ditch the injection for a carb and gain horse's but shes worth more wit injection being a limited edition sport pack (probly worth more unmalested lol )

now this is the problem ,il state the engine specification

over bore +40
swift tune sw5-07 cam shaft(the mpi one )
paul inch stage 3 head bigger inlet standard exhaust , double valve springs (to suit cam) ported polished ect
cross pin diff
centre oil pick up
maniflow lcb sytem(retaing cat)
modifed throttle body
k&n induction kit

now tonight was the first firing .... and its best to say things didnt go well, for a start there was fuel and spark but no ignition ...... ???????

i removed and dried the plugs and tried firing her up full throttle open to see if shed catch .... but no joy
the firing order has been checked and tripple checked and seems corect .
the plugs both new and the old ones she ran with befor have been tried and a very electricifing shock is present .
the petrol is new and all of the sensors are pluged in corectly
the compresion is very good allso .

now i did however have her running (badly) with the aid of a car and a toe rope (toe started her) this did the trick she fired and ran , now the thing is she doesnt run smoothly of course i expect a degre of lumpyness due to the mods and cam ect but i meane she doesnt like to idle she just cuts out and the engine is very tempremental , is it a case of the more its ran the better things will get or is there something ive missed or should know ... ive done my homework and the rover mems 2j ecu should be up to the job , its allso worth mentioning when its trying to fire blue flames shoot out of the thottle body and when she is running the presure from the exaust is imense u can feel it 15 -20 feet away from the back of the exhaust .

help people please i want my beast to live .
