[Down&Out]

hi all
after seeing the lovelyness of some of the veedub rats.. im wondering what some of the rat look minis look like? and i mean proper rat, not just "paint it matt black and call it rat" although matt black and work as rat if its dirty and rusty

basically the rat 'look' is a car that looks like a piece of tat

The idea of a 'Rat' rod/car is the bares minimum of bits to get a car on the road. So things like interior comforts, heater, covering on seats, carpets. The minimum of lights etc. I think the idea sprang from young kids scavenging the scrap yards for bits to make a car out of.... cheap way to get mobile.

Think hes trying to say that the rat look is a personal expression and you should make your own look with it, dont go copying something exactly with the rat look, make it yours

But 'Rat' isn't a VeDub private club, created by themselves... it started out with the likes of 1930's cars rescued from the scrapper in the States as cheap transportation.

rat look dont work on minis its that simple vdubs and hot rods yes but like been said cant just be a sheddy wreck thats propper dodgy a lot of rat look cars are all solid underneath sorted brakes ball joints etc et and lots of attitude too
