Here's Toby, a 1967 Riley Elf  under all the grime and surface rust is a surprisingly solid 41 year old car. Was a great bargain, the whole thing was free including a spare engine, all the original chrome bits and some other things. It has a metro engine in it atm. main plans are to restore it, but with a period rally kind of vibe possibly.

Here is the panel you need to make that mini front panel into an Elf one...

Oh lovely, how did you come across it?

Best of luck with the rebuild mate, I know of a few minis lying about, I'll have to compose a thread on this forum with pictures and locations then see if anyone is willing to save them!

It would look awesome ratlook I think, but the rust still needs to be sorted! Is there a good way to "preserve" the look it has now, and protect it from rusting further? maybe like a sealant or something.

Achor wax,.... but it sitll wont last long, that's the problem. as if the tin wasn't thin enough already it would look really quite bad after a single winter I guess.

Would look uber cool though IMO, 'spesh with those weller wheels
