nothing major to update on, though a roofrack is being bidded for on ebay, which I think will really suit the Elf. There are about 5 holes altogether on the shell, not as bad as I was expecting to be honest! The subframes are good and its generally quite solid, which makes things much easier. The engine doesn't start though :(

Been working on the Elf today, I now know the full extent of all the rust. Its good in most areas, where its been repaired before. Unfortunately the boot floor is a different story...

Posted Image

It definately needs a new boot floor now!

meanwhile, this bumper and spotlights will probably go on, as I think they look awesomely cool

with the help of flat tires, the car is now lower than my phone! But I'll be bleeding the hydrolastic suspension to get it nice and low without flat tires xD

I'd presumed at this age they are A-Series, not A+ engines, or was I somehow mistaken?

I ask as you mentioned a Metro engine, I just bought a hornet cabrio, so will be following this closely.

Those wheels will stay on it for now, as the tires aren't flat! I will be adding my personal touch to them though, heres a quick photoshop to show you the plan:
