As you can see I am replacing more than just the boot floor but yeah I'll post the progress as it comes along. I am not replacing the full boot floor actually. I have purchased a boot floor repair panel that goes about 7 inches back from the edge of the boot. lucky for me that was all that I needed. I am also replacing the right side taillight housing, the roll pan, and various other pieces. Bear with me on this. It is my first Mini and therefore my first project so it could be kinda slow. also i work and go to school still so i don't get alot of time in the garage.

Ambitious stuff! Good luck with it and keep the pics coming.

Just one question – what is that fluff in the first photo? looks like the rear of your mini had carpet glued to the back of it????
:cheese:

hi al good luck with finishing of the mini.
got 1 point for you. i had to change the rear part of my boot during my rebuild, cut away what was rusted, threw it in bin, bought new panel, weeks later went to fit fuel tank, oooopppppsssss, no mounting for the strap, just a point to think about, i ended up making my own, but if you know about it now maybe you can pick up the proper bracket from a scrappy in your area.

i would post a pic of the bracket if i had the proper bracket. i am going down the scrappy's on wed, to get a few parts so i will take my camera with me as well as a chisel and drill, maybe i can pick one up for you.. the one i have on mine works, but should be taller.

thanks for the thought cowboy but I live in Canada and I doubt the part would be worth the postage. A pic would be great though.
