I'm busy stripping down my 1969 Cooper for a rebuild and come across something that's confusing me! The car has no front sidelights! There is nothing built into the headlamp and no wiring to the headlamp either. I did read somewhere that the front side lights were built into the indicators on some models, but there is no wiring for this either!
I can get a twin filament bulb holder to build into the indicators but I'm not sure if anybody does a 5W/5W twin filament bulb. Vehicle Wiring does a 10W tail/indicator bulb but I'm not sure this is what I need.
There's no panic for me to sort this out as I'm nowhere near putting the car back together yet, but I can see this will be one of those 'not so easy to fix' problems!
Has anybody got any ideas on what the period fitting was?
Regards
Wyn

the tail/indicator bulb is the same thing as you need for the front.

Thanks
Do you know if that was how it was done in 1968? I've got replacement headlamps with side lights built in but I'd rather do it the 'proper' way!
