Is it possible to switch the whole hub and drive shafts from a metro to a mini?
If not what is involved in changing to the metro 4pots and vented disks? I've got a whole metro so can have any parts off that as needed.
Also the setup will all fit under my 12" wheels won't it?
Metro hub?

to put the metro 4 pots on your mini you'll need to take the following from the metro:
callipers,
vented discs,
drive flanges.
you'll need the conversion brake pipes and ERA turbo calliper mounting bolts from minispares.
thats it. dont use the metro hubs they're totally different to mini ones.
you'll also need to grind off the wheel locating lugs on the front of the metro drive flange to use mini wheels.

all that is assuming you've already got an 8.4" disc setup fitted.
pretty sure that the metro driveshafts are a different length aswell.

If you need any pictures for going from drums to discs I'm about to change the drums on my Clubby to MiniSport billet alu calipers, just give us a shout for what you need.

I converted my grasstrack mini from drums to metro disks (no one told me it couldent be done!) using a combiation of mini drive shafts , metro drive shafts with the metro outer CVs, i used the metro twin flexi pipes run into "T" shaped adapters (found on mini bulkheads) I had to use the ball joints from the mini in the metro hubs . the trackrod ends were threaded out a bit too far for comfort !
on the track it handled well enuf to win me races , my lap times were much lower , with the 4 pots i could brake later and harder , first one into the corner was the first out
But since i have read that metro hubs used on a mini screw up your handling and it is better to convert the mini hubs to take metro 4 pot calipers .

you don't actually need to do anything to a mini hub to put a metro 4pot caliper on it, you just need to use the caliper bolts designed for the ERA turbo, they are a metric diameter with an imperial thread... other than that it's all mini with the exception of Disks and drive flanges.
