Thought I might as well add my effort, although the petrol tank is still bare :ohno:

Picture is awful, sorry about that.

Used some MDF and stuck some leftovers of my bedroom carpet to it!

Finch661 - I got my carpet from ebay. Comes in a roll of different lengths about 1.5m wide, try searching on there.

Thought I would give this a go today, and it worked out great just got to get some carpet to cover it with, angles turned out spot on, made a difference to boot, not often something works out first time, thanks for template and some inspiration.

Going to have to try a dash next.

I did something similar, but a little different to my clubby boot, but in the same vain, used off cut's of marine ply I had sitting about, handy to just in case it gets wet, I used cooper/s mounting brackets on the rear seat panel so it slots in and attempts to give a factory feel, then a lip at the front to make it self supporting. Made the handle for removing it easily to gain access to spare etc then carpeted the lot with what I had left over from doing the main carpet, just so it all matches, oh then got totally carried away and finished it with a little light. :shy:

I purchased the boot liner kit from Optimise Automotive. Looks great and fits in place without having to use any hardware.

However, I have a 1" space between the end of the floor panel and the fuel tank. Does this mean I have an earlier, smaller fuel tank (25 liters)?

It's been a project in my garage since I bought the car, so I haven't had a chance to fill up the tank yet. But 5 gallons of fuel brought the fuel gauge up to approx. 3/4.
