Very informative and detailed guide, nice one!

I used to sell the Boot Light Kits but your link doesn't work so I can't see which one you've seen.. I sold my stock/business venture to someone a short while back and I think he's carried it on on eBay so I think I know what you mean...

It would work out cheaper buying the kit itself because if you were to buy wire, fuses, fuseholders, bulbs etc yourself just for one boot it wouldn't really be worth it. :P

EDIT: Just found the boot light kits on ebay.. thy only cost £5-6 to throw together but you'd have to buy in bulk (especially with the wire) to get them for that price. It's pretty straightforwards to install a light in the boot anyway, only need an earth, positive, correct rated wire and fuses, and a switch :(

i will be doing this next weekend now if i got enough money thanks mate

i was looking on ebay and found this boot light kit i was wondering if anyone had one?? is it worth buying the kit or making me own??

light kit!

cheers!!

In reply to you is it worth buyin a kit or making your own, id say make your own, not only do you have the satisfaction of making it yourself, you also save a lot of money, mine cost me roughly £22 to fully construct it

erm well put it this way its only 6mm MDF and carpet id say added 1mm, so overall id say absolutly barely anything, i certainly cant see or feel any difference, and by using 6mm MDF instead of 10mm saves a hell of a lot of weight and room lol

The boot board looks good :ermm: well done

Just one query however, if you was required to get your spare wheel out, will you have to unscrew the left hand side panel from the rear to gain access to it?

ha glad someone has asked that question, nope u dont have to unscrew absolutly neting, the way i designed it was that the base panel is removable, to make it sit completly flush and flat it has a wedge at the back to sit on, this is located to the right hand side of the unit and the back, and towards the front, near the battery i made a compartment for the base to sit on that is also a storage for some tools.

well way i would do it is same as above just shorten the base to it, and copy the left hand side panel and basically do something simular to mirror the petrol tank cover on the right hand side, if that makes sense, and then add a 10" sub into the side, although the only issue is access to the battery, so the other way of doing it is inccorporating it into the right hand side panel so it is above the wheel arch or somewhere very near. hope this helps
