Got half way through yesterday, marked up all the boards and cut them out so I'm happy with it for now, just need some speaker carpet then I can finish putting it together and carpet the whole thing.

I'm not sure if I should put the right hand side in because I might need access to the fuel sender unit & the fuel pipe leading out the back of the tank (had a few issues with that before)

Here are some pictures of during the build (check out my project page for a few more ;D)

I took the dimensions into a local shop and they cut it up for me (I had to shape it though) they just cut the rectangles out.

Not having a knock at Russell but the dimensions he stated are completely different to what I've done, It's just a case of personal preference and how you want things to fit.

I'm considering making a small box which will sit directly on top of the battery, I always have the problem of the leads working there way loose and jumping off (like tonight) so the weight would push them down and stop that happening.

Negative does (It was replaced) I'm forgetting the MDF idea and just buying another Positive lead, I can't seem to tighten the one I've got now.. It's so fiddly, 13mm doesn't fit & neither does a 12mm or 14mm spanner, at the minute it just sits on the terminal with a Jerry can on top holding the thing down.

Isn't that because its 1/2 inch, the old school measure?

I might be wrong?

Cheers

But cheers.

Go and look at the state of your boot now, and then come in and look at some of the ones that have been done on here.

Should be plenty of motivation!

I was thinking about bolting 4 U-bolts parallel from each other, with bungee cords cut to size so I can put things under the cords and they stay in the same place.
