I would like to buy new alloys as the original ones 12x4.5 are in a really poor condition.
I was thinking of getting superlites 12x5.
I have a Birthday 30 and am wondering if the arches need changing or if anything else has to be changed.
Alternatively does any one know where to buy 12x4.5 alloys?
Cheers,
Charlie

12x5s will go on with absolutely no mods at all to arches or wing or anything like that.
Only exception would be if your car was considerably lowered in which case you MIGHT need to take a bit off.
If its stock or lowered just a tiny bit, they will fit without any problems whatsoever!

12x6 require arch mods... 12x5s are a straight fit, and fit well under standard arches!

performance wise?

Performance-wise you want 10" wheels.
12x6 would be worse since they are heavier, they are also deep dish and would put more strain on the wheel bearings. But a lot of this would hardly (if at all) be noticeable...
