Tie bar bushes. Knocking on acceleration - inner bush. Braking - outer bush.

How old is the car. If of a decent age and they have not been replaced yet, then change ALL the rubber bushes and mounts on the entire subframe and suspention as they will be some what tired and worn if not split and perrished. Front subframe front tear drops and the rear mounts have a tendancy to part the metal from the rubber..

I have just replaced everything with the polyurethane bushes and the car is conciderably quieter without knocks and squeeks:w00t: I now have two rattles to find inside the car for an all rattle free ride :cool:
