ok here we go,

i bought it like this, pretty much a bare shell with knackered running gear
Posted ImagePosted Image

next a donor car was sourced, everything ( and i mean everthing) was swapped
piece by piece it slowly got there
Posted Image

rear glass in awkard as hell with a rubber that hadnt seen a car for years lol
Posted Image

had real trouble finsding the sliding window rubbers, apparently cant get them at the moment, mnagaed to find a complete new set at a show and sliding glass went in no problems then, it evenb appeas to be water proof so far
Posted Image

front subframe sourced as tower bolt from donor car wont fit, all running gear swapped
Posted Image

engine all cleaned and in, no real problems, ran straight away
Posted Image

shortage of pics from this stage really, wirirng was tricky and my mate srted that out after i gave up with a saw head lol

brakes all bled up no problems, handbrake was fiddly but adjusted up after new cables,

i couldnt find any pickup lights at sensible prices so opted for estate ones with a little modififcaion to fit ;-)
also pressed black (and legal) plates on and fitted with universal luight from motor spares lol

seats and carpets in making all the difference
Posted Image

and off for mot

a pass first time, couldnt beleive it, anyway driven it three times and bored so got too lower it last night
Posted Image

thought it needed a bit of camber so knocke up a camber bracket too
Posted Image

looking better, managed to pick a set of the rubbery type arches today of a mate as a bit of a guide on size, managed to go a bit lower too with them on, had to do a bit of cutting but thuink clearence will be ok,

managed to mock fit the arches (roughlyfor now) and some differfent wheels, starting to look ok now i think

pickedd the pickup 4 months ago and worked on it around other projects, many of them lol, i think i have spent about £2200-2400 getting it this far

what do you think folks?

bargain for a tidy looking pick up! would loose the s'pack arches and get some narrow grp 2's on there, love the colour choice!

Archless with a chrome strip would set it off perfectly, not sure how much the wheels would stick out though.
