Yup I got new nuts, and how can I rethread the rod???
And the only reason I did want to grind is because of how much it sticks out past the nut If it didnt, i'd never do that (had bad experiences with nuts coming undone )
Need quick help!

you can SOMETIMES rethread them with a tap and die set, tap being for nuts/threaded holes, and a die for bolts and threaded rods
id try gently filing a 45 degree taper onto the rod 1st, then try a new nut.
then again, i did exacly the same thing and just replaced them all, three werent 6mths old yet!
Ah well,
Rich
