There are loads of Mini tuners in the midlands, Morspeed and MED are among the best of the best.

MED

Morspeed.

 Jammy thinks the 1098 is a square engine! :w00t:

They made Sprite's for ages, you'll have to say a bit more about it to tell which mark it is for certain but it's probably a Mk5 or later.

Ahhhh, don't get like that tankgirl (strange name by the way!), you just need to start your own thread, usually in the technical section. You've kind of stepped on someones elses toes here.

You should really go to the 'technical and problems' part of the forum with your technical problems!

Give it time as well lots of the more informed people might be at work so i'm positive you'll get some help! :w00t:

I was reading this while you were online earlier Tank Girl, please don't be offended. I've answered the Captain as this was his thread first. I can't think off hand what might be causing your problem or I'd have said what I thought it might be and I'm sure that's the case for most of us. What did this garage do to your car exactly which ahs upset it?

Jammy, the 1098 is exactly the same as the 998, only with a longer stroke and shorter piston height. So the bore's the same (the block's the same in fact) and it ain't no where near square! Sorry I laughed, but I (and several others) have said this about 1098's many times before trying to explode the myths. 1098's are great little engines.

Thanks for the replies...the car is a 91, what else can I look for to tell what Mk it is?

Tankgirl,
Sorry I can't help as I'm new to this Mini lark, but yes it does sound fuel related or poss electrics.
Try starting (if you've not already done so) a thread in technical and good luck.

Just the year is enough (unless it's a change year of course.....)

Your car is Mk5.
