AUTOROTOR IS PROBABLY THE BEST BET FOR SIZE AND LOOKS AND IS PROBABLY BETTER SUITED TO A SUCK THROUGH SET UP BUT IS FAR MORE EXPENSIVE. P.S THE EATON M45 CAN BE SET UP 98% PERFECT IF U TAKE IT TO SOMEONE WHO KNOWS WHAT THEY ARE DOING (VMAX) FITTED MY VMAX KIT ON 1275 MG LUMP (BOG STANDARD ) IT ACHIEVED 109BHP AT WHEELS WHICH IS NOT BAD CONSIDERING THE CAR HAD DONE 70000 MILES AND RAN A DECOMP PLATE. BUT SINCE MY NEW ENGINE - 1293CC,11CC PISTONS 37/31 VALVES AND NO DECOMP PLATE AND 8PSI IT RUNS 10 TIMES BETTER, NO FUELLING ISSUES AND BETTER MPG. I WOULD SAY EATON FOR READILY AVAILABLE SPARES ASWELL. THE ONLY THING THAT WORRIES ME WITH THE EATONS IS THAT THE ROTORS POSSIBLY WONT LAST TO LONG AS THEY R ONLY MEANT FOR A BLOW THROUGH SET UP. HOWEVER NO PROBS YET AND ITS BEEN A YEAR. I THINK MOST THE PROBS WITH THE EATONS IS OVER BOOSTING THEM, ANYTHING ABOVE 11PSI IS REALLY NOT RECOMMENDED AND FROM A BIT OF RESEARCH ANYTHING OVER TEN PSI ITLL START EATING MORE HORSEPOWER THAN ITS PUTTING IN AT HIGH REVS. IF U CAN GET A 2.9 DIFF ASWELL IF RUNNING 10"WHEELS. HOPE THIS HELPS.

Please dont waste your money and get a super charger get a turbo instead. :D

No get a supercharger if you wan't a turbo and big bhp get an evo or a skyline
supercharger's (my opinion) suit mini's well even for everyday use ,if properly set up.

Agreed, superchargers tend to let gearboxes last longer than turbos to as u dont have that sudden kick of power that tends to annihalate the drops on turbos, but as with any upgrade its always a balancing act between power and reliability. Mine runs at about 120bhp which i would say is the max for a pretty standard box with only a comp diff pin. I also reckon my longer final drive could be a factor in how long the box lasts.Basically whatever route u go down unless youre willing to spend mega bucks on top boxes and the like then dont go mad.

That's the question:

A. opcon: made to your to cars specs and a bit more expensive
B. eaton: like all others but a 1000 pound cheaper

if I'm right you can get more power from the opcon plus its more efficient?

but the eaton is more readily available

can some one do a poll as i dont no how to do it on here as it would be intresting to see what people say

in my opinion i would rather have a slightly lower running live than have a longer lasting charger that is harder and more expensive to locate, you can pick up a good eaton with 30k on it for about £100+ on ebay so its no biggie if the eaton dies.
