yea i got 1000 on a 1275cc cooper mpi. I;'m 18 but i am on a 10 month policy which gives me 1 years no claim at the end. I am with admiral and it was the best quote i got by miles! i think i will try that company out of miniworld tho next time as i will be 19 then. hopefully it will come do to 3 figs!!

just had a quote of the link posted earlier and it came to £650 for my tpft on my clubby 1275gt i am 18 hav under a year of experience bet it would be cheaper if i went direct to the company! bargain!

Im with Norwich union on my Pug 206. I rang to get insured on a mini cooper and its cheaper than having my pug by £20 a month - BONUS. Mind u Ihave done pass plud - WHICH HELPS LOADS. I was paying £2200 for my pug, did pass plus now im only paying £1011!!! :grin: :cheese: :grin: :grin: :grin: :grin:

sorry to say this mate but getting cheap insurance on a car with only a provisional is practically an impossibility, you'll get insured... but it wont be cheap ever as long as you're on prov.

footman and james. you have to join a club like the bmc but i got quoted 460 3rd party for a year and i'm 17 (1000cc) 4500 miles a year

If you've got a well modified mini might be worth giving Greenlight a buzz.
As i saw in a previous post, stick your parents on the policy it should bring it down.

Greenlight are on 01277 26 30 30. Might be worth checking it out online though. If i remember rightly i filled in an online form with all the mods, then they gave me an e-mail reply with a quote. I gave them a ring to follow it up. Not sure what their policies are on age, mileage etc. All the people i speak to with modified cars recommend them though.

personally i find miniworld are good
i got quoted 630.25 fully comp with third party extension for a 1988 mini jet black with cage, alloys, harnesses, vauxhall2.0l 8v 130bhp engine ect with everything claimed
im 21 with 4 years driving expierience and no no claims in low risk area and car kept garaged
