Hello to all you Mini loving types.
I thought it polite to say hello before wandering around browsing threads.
As you may be able to tell from my username I am actually a visitor from the Aircooled VW scene and am just trying the water...
My nephew is into his Mini and as I have a comfortable workshop, my home has been volounteered as base for an impending engine replacment. Hence I now have an interest in the small cars. (at least getting them off my garage space and back onto the road. )

I have to admit I am getting quite fond of his Mini even if it does take a couple of years to change the engine....
I have been spoilt by the simplicity of the German design- four bolts and your engine is out!

I have a cheap project car!! what sort of project you need? This will need some welding, painting and small bit of mechanical repair.. ITs the one below this post.

Ok sounds good, can you give me a ball park figure though so I don't waste your time, 0-500, 500-1000, 1000+ ?
