Hi.
Please could someone please tell me how to change the carb needle on a HS4??
Is it easy??
Thanks
Dave
Any non-standard parts that might be involved with the problem?

Dead-easy
Remove 3 screws from bell and carefully lift it of.
There's a piston in, attached to the piston is the needle (you'll see it then).
Take the piston out (attention: there's a bit oil in!).
On the piston's side is a grubscrew. Screw it out.
Then try to pull out the needle (the needle sticks into a little, dark bracket which is scured by the scrub screw and comes out with the needle) with your fingers.
If it is too tight, wrap a smal piece of ducttape (or the like, to prevent damage) around it and try it with a smal plier and try to lever it out by supporting the plier to the piston (know what I mean?).
If the needle is out, put the smal spring on it's end onto the new needle (if it has not got one) and do it all vice versa.
Pay good attention to not bent the needle when inserting it into the piston and the piston into the carb again.
Don't forgett the bif spring between piston and bell and don't forgett to fill the damper with oil again
Tune your carb to work with the new needle (or let this do someone who knows what to do 'cause it takes a good amount of experience) - enjoy your car!
Cheers,
