I'm looking at all the various options I have for my vtec conversion, especially some of the not so common honda conversions...I was wondering whether anyone could point me in the direction of some Honda engine knowledge, specifically looking for specs of engines, how they can be modified, history of engine and what cars they were in and knowledge on engine mounting positions would be extremely helpful.
I have asked on 16vmini forums but as usual they're response hasn't been fantastic!

Unusual... Well, there is the 2.2 VTEC from the Prelude. The Montegi 212bhp version should be a laugh. My best mate has one - a Prelude that is, and it frickin' flys.

Cool, will have a look at that forum now...
I don't think I can go much above a 1.8 Vtec (because of insurane and cost of pants) and will probably test a 1.6 first....
I've been looking at the 1.6 4WD Civic Shuttle that the guy on www.ringmini.de has done (Only 110bhp though! )

Does that include the drive train, or just the engine?

Nah, as I said because of insurance the first engine I'll be putting in will be a 1.6 (hoping for about 150bhp), mayb in a year or two I'll hop up to a 1.8 Type R or something?!
