Charcoal Canister Removal

i have a 1275 carb model mini that was fitted with a cat
its no longer running the cat so do i still need the charcoal canister and pipes relating to this,
if not, i would like to remove it completly to tidy up the engine bay

any help is apreciated

It will still be of some use, it collects fumes from the tank & carb float. You could remove it, just run vent pipes from the tank & carb to somewhere safe. You'll also need the vac advance plumbed up to work.

The charcoal canister has nothing to do with the cat anyway.
