yokos for dry weather grip, probably not for durability though, never tried them in the wet
i had falkens on my mini, excellent in the wet, didnt seem to wear too fast either

For all rounders then I'll keep my A539's, Pushed in the dry and wet :(

Sorry but dont rate falkens atall, didnt on my last car and definately dont on a 12 inch setup :)

Falkens to save money, and Yokohama for all round better performance, falkens are rubbish in the wet compared to the yokohamas. at least in the 165/60r12 size anyway. Tried both, won't go back to Falken now.

lets just say Falkens have the nickname 'ditch finders' for a reason.

Falken ziex are good allround road tyres aswell as the a539. They're soft compound with asymmetric thread.
You need to be carefull at tyre pressure if you want to be safe in wet conditions, falkens seem to be more sensible to tyre pressure than yokos, probably because their wall is softer.
On the downside, I've tride trashing them on a track, and they warm up too much, with consequent locking and spinning issues.

My A539's are amazing! They have lasted well as I don't push it much, but on the miniclub runs etc they grip for days! I replaced a set of Falkens, though im unsure what, with the Yokos and it was a great improvement.

I've always had yoko's and never had a problem. Although has anyone had these? I'm thinking of getting a set with my new alloys. I use my car all year round and I'm worried about grip in wet weather conditions. More specifically they will be this set up at the bottom.

I've been going through Yoko's A539 in about 6 months.

I do have a few suspension and geometry issue's which i'm sorting out.

I've always had Yoko's, but they were quite slippy in the wet (eg steering goes light in corners) again i hope this is down to the suspension/geometry issues

Think i might stick with yoko's for now and see if they last a bit longer and deal with wet corners better, after the suspension overhaul.

Thanks for your opinions so far
