Has anyone fitted this?

Looked in my haynes manual and there are no instructions on replacing it.

This is the last of a few jobs that need to be done ASAP.

Anyone with any information, diagrams, pictures etc please PM or post here.

Bob

Hi Bob.

It really is a doddle to do.

You have to remove the strap that holds the Wiper Motor to the engine bay and then undo the rod attachment to the motor so you can remove it from the bay. The wiper park switch is just plugged into the back of the motor.

Sounds relitively simple.

Lets hope I can manage it, cheers jay.

It's not bad, even I've done it! You might find the connectors a bit rusty so be prepared to sturggle getting them apart!

I have to do mine. I'll do a photo shoot of the steps needed to swap it out. Do we have a place to post help files and pics??

I think I have a photo shoot of how to change the steering rack too somewhere.

Yes and here it is in all it's glory (even though it's not mine, it's actually an image I pinched years ago): -

Great, but you may need this too if the wiper motor park-switch socket and wiring are badly corroded: -

Done. The hardest bit was removing the plastic cover over the entire motor.

And it was fairly fiddley, but hey....took just under an hour.

Chuffed to bits, I dunt often get to fix stuff on it...but im learning.

Cheers for all the help.

Bob
