my dad got me the spitfire multi-spark yesterday from a show (motorbikes) for my mini.it replaces the lead from the coil to the distributor, and is meant to improve starting ,performance, mpg, so i put it on the car today and it runs c**p. so put the original back on.has anyone else tried one?

The forum has cut one of these open to find out what it is. It consists of about four large washers in a plastic ball. It's junk, throw it away.

I've only just gone and bought one of these for 20 quid! :P

The chap gave quite a convincing series of tales and demonstrations I must say! A lot of gentle persuasion! :P :D :D

I've noticed absolutely no difference in performance/economy whatsoever!!

Suckers!

Here is the rule 'if it sounds to good to be true - it is'

Also, no matter what anyone tells you, you will not improve the power or mpg of an engine with differnt plugs or leads. The only improvement you'll see is the fact that you are replacing old knackered stuff with new stuff.

But they show you whats inside in the demonstration...they also show you that it breaks up the 1 large spark into 5 smaller ones...
