Removing The Dash Rails

hi guys need to know how to remove the uper and lower dash rails

The top rail is held with 3 bolts. Left right and middle. Take your dash off and then you can squeeze a socket onto them from underneath

The bottom rail is held with the crome trim on the back edge, clips and glue. So remove the trim and the clips then pull off carfully so as not to rip it.
If I remember right I had to remove the speedo clocks to get mine off as well.

And theyres also clips int the left and right you should be able to see or feel ;D pop them off

I only ever managed to get the top rail outt by removing the windscreen

I managed to get the top one off on my last mini by cutting the middle thread down so i could just squeeze the rail out without needing to take the windscreen out. Probably not the best solution though, if you're doing any serious work it's probably best to remove the windscreen.
