Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the differences between A and A+ s/c drop gears, and differences between small and large bore s/c drop gears?
I have a set of straight cut drop gears available for me to buy, but I'm not sure what engine they are for? I counted the teeth, and the 3 gears have...
23 teeth, 24 teeth and 31 teeth.
Any help welcome.
Thanks.

When dealing with SC drops, the input and the primary gear are the same weather A+ or A... for reference the 998 Primary has a bush I/D of 1.5", where as the 1275 has an I/D of 1.625"
The idler gear is the difference, the A+ idler has even length shafts with a O/D of .875", and the A series has odd length shafts with an O/D of .75"
You can use an A series idler in an A+ gearbox / transfer case if you the DAM3745 conversion bearing, but an A+ idler cannot be used in an A series case.

I'm not sure yet, haven't got round to measuring them. I got them from a mate of mine. Not sure if they are for 998's or not.
