I've just replaced my battery today. I got a type 096 (labelled as 100) from eurocarparts. they charged me 34.74 as they gave me a trade discount even though im a new customer to them. Hehehe. RRP was 73.39 on it though.

The battery fits perfectly in the standard battery box, its a very snug fit but if you drop it in straight then it does go. And i managed to just squeeze my spare wheel back in too!! i dont think you'll get a bigger battery in there.

Well worth the money!!

Bought an 096 myself a few weeks ago, VERY snug fit - had to trim the bottom edge slightly to get around some seam in the battery box but it sure ain't moving!

You got it, just unbolt the old and plonk in the new.
If you got for absolute max size possible (096) then you might need to trim the 'boot' of the battery a touch, the plastic flares out at the bottom a little but a whip round with a sharp knife is all it needs.

You could upgrade your earth strap while you're at it, I'm fitting a larger ICE install so changing the earth straps and live cable for heavier gauge.
