ebay/paypal almost always rule in favour of the buyer.
The seller can no longer even post negative feedback for a buyer.
The worst a seller can do is not post feedback.

ebay is also on the sellers backs about DSRs all the time. (Seller ratings). It's actually in the seller's interests to keep up a good rating. In some cases, they get cheaper fees!

If a seller isn't playing ball, post a dispute as SOON as you can. You can always close it later.
The sooner you report it, the sooner it can be sorted.

Yup this guy is right i get a slap by my boss's if i dont keep it above 4.8 out of 5
at the moment im geting 4.9 - 5 on them
its very hard as some times a back holiday means im not in work for saterday sunday monday and then pak on tuesday means may be as late as thursday when they get the part and then leave like rating as 4.5 and brings it down alot gaz

Just to add to the above. If you do raise a dispute, DO NOT CLOSE IT!!! unless you have either your MONEY or your GOODS in hand, and the goods are satisfactory.
I got stung by a scammer last year on a £300 mobile. He had 100% positive feedback, a landline telephone number, an address, and a website. I got suspicious after I'd paid because I had an email saying the item was out of stock and will not be in stock again for weeks. Also I noticed the "seller" was no longer registered on eBay! I tried to contact him and couldn't so I raised a dispute on Paypal.

I kept ringing the "seller" and eventually I got through. The phone was answered with the "company" name and the guy was very professional. He said the email was an error, everyone who had paid would definately receive their phone on the guaranteed delivery date noted on the auction. He said eBay had suspended the account and he was still trying to find out why, but my order would definately be honoured. I mentioned I had raised a Paypal dispute - he told me that I'd get my money back but not the phone - so I agreed to close the dispute on the assurance I would get my product. I had never actually confirmed receipt of the goods though, I'd just selected the option that said the issue has been resolved with the seller.

I didn't realise that once you close a dispute on a transaction, there is NO way of re-opening that dispute, OR raising a new dispute for the same transaction!!

Which is an absolutely PATHETIC system. Paypal refused to help me any further, they weren't interested at all. Luckily I paid on my credit card via Paypal and got my money back from the CC company via a chargeback.

So yeah the auction turned out to be a complete scam. The "seller" had "bought" a £1,500 "watch" from "another" seller...!! (If you saw the listing for the 'watch' you'd know it was a fake auction) - complete money laundering. Also the seller bought a set of golf clubs for £1,999 - it was an auction and there was only that bid, why would you bid at £1,999?! More money laundering.

I gathered all this stuff together and informed the police who weren't helpful at all. My local police told me to report it to eBay and Paypal - which I had and they weren't bothered!! The metropolitan police - who I contacted because the address I had for the seller was based in London - recorded it as a crime but sent me a letter weeks later saying due to lack of evidence they will not be investigating the crime any further.

Over 100 of these 'phones' were sold and paid for, and with the police being unwilling to investigate these frauds then no wonder people are literally getting away with daylight robbery on ebay.

Do not use this guy, it's been almost a month since i bought the door handle set, sent the payment about 5 mins after the auction finished, and i have sent 4 emails, no reply to any of them, and nothing received in the post.

Avoid at all costs.

if you paid with paypal tell tham and they will give you a refund

i have timewasters from things ive sold. mk1 grille sold for £57.93 with 25 watchers and 16 bids. 0feedback guy bought it. didnt pay or msg. t***

seller answered my questions when i asked where they was and said they was posted out already, then all of a sudden i get an email from ebay saying the item description has been removed and not to pay, 2 weeks after i have paid, now seller is not even a registered user on ebay anymore.

filed a dispute through ebay, now know i should have done it through paypal

anyone got an idea of what i can do or what the hell has actually gone on, only the ebay email was pretty useless apart from telling me the listings gone, now im £65 out

you know ebay owns paypal rite? so any dispute put through either should yield something..

after the ebay one it still goes through paypal so i should have really just started it with paypal and not wasted any time, i just followed the ebay email link so didnt think.

seems i had no need to worry as ebay have sorted it. apparently the seller had listed 3 sets of gauges and possibly other mini related items and never delivered any, ebay froze his ebay account and paypal account, which still had funds so my money was returned hopefully everyone elses was aswell

shame as i would have preferred the bonnet! lol!

hmmmm rings a bell, he also had a rear beam and coilovers listed with best offer , i made a best offer then within 20 mins or so got a message from ebay saying item cancelled .

tried to palm me off with a standard helical gearbox saying "really? i bought it in good faith"
even though hes recently sold a K-headed a-series block so just trying it on

i even asked him are you sure its straight cut and sent pictures of what it should look like and he said yes.

his also selling a metro turbo engine n the start bid is £750 bit steep n i reckon it wants a new turbo or a rebuild as theres play in the shaft he reckons its got 160 bhp aswell :S ripp off much !!
