I am building up a 1380 motor.
The only timing chain covers I have spare are from a metro with the round shape to the breather.
I do have a complete late mini 1275 as a spare which i could steal the cover off but it seems a shame to strip a complete engine.
Will the metro breather fit in to the gap between the engine and the radiator on a mini?
Alternatively Mini Spares sell a new cover for £35 ish so could buy that.

I have since done a bit of a search and there is a post from 2006 which suggests a bit of "adjustment" with a hammer, and spacing of the fan may work.
To be honest I would rather get it right before I put the motor in.
The metro one is round "O" and the mini one is more like "0"
I will have a go at the metro with a hammer, probably break it and then buy the right one from Mini Spares.

Just realised I can test fit a rad to the engine before I put it in DOH
