BHM prefixed engines are factory replacement units there's a link to these in the other 'engine number' thread...

http://www.theminifo...showtopic=14246 (link2)

eg

BHM1460.... HC piston/CAM4717 cam, late A-PLUS mains/cyl head ......... 998 Mini A-PLUS press fit pin piston introduced

My cityE's engine is 99HB81P155383. It came out what looks to be correct but the final drive says 3.105:1. Does this mean the original unit has been replaced at some point or did austin just stick any unit in.....orrr is the result wrong? Because the whole idea of the cityE was the 2.95:1 fd ratio wasn't it?
