Just to ask if anyone out there has a set of 5.5 inch wide alloys with mini superfins drums at the rear and 4-pots with vented discs at the front. As the superfins and vented discs push the wheels out a bit, will the 5.5s still fit under standard mayfair type arches??

Great arches guide by the way!

Are there wheel arches out there that do NOT require drilling into the car?

Great info,

I wondered why my sports pack arches were different from others, My car was originally from germany.

DO you know why they were different? could it be the year i have a 96 spi, did the sports pack (uk) come after that?

I wonder is uk sports pack arches woulkd directly fit on my car, --- thinking of any possible future bumps.

Cheers Again for the great info

Craig

Pretty sure they don't make them any more, the person who owns that mini is in the same club as me and I think she said they don't anyway.

I would advise people to avoid the alluminium arches as when you place ally and steel in contact with each other you will encourage bimetallic corrosion and hence grow lots of rust, which as we all know on minis it don't need any encouragement, you could slow it down by using a rubber gasket between the two surfaces though if your heart was really set on having them fitted to your car. Just my 2p

To all those who are in search of the Midland Wheels Arches, I have a solution. Minispeed do a set or arches called 'Rave Arches, I think these are as close as you r gonna get and for those that are that way inclined a small amount of monifcation and theyll look just like the midland wheels arches anyway.

Hope this helps,

Sam

Hey, I've been looking all over for this sort of info!!

I have a '73 clubby, just wondering which arches are designed for/look good on a clubman? Opinions are obviously personal, but let me know which ones you think look mint.

Cheers!!

I think they are about the same width - just a different radius and shape.

I have 13x7 superlites 175 width tyres under group 6
