t-cut removes a thin layer of paint from the panel to rejuvinate the colour, polish protects the paint and gives it a deep shine.

Hey buddy can you confirm please that washing up liquid contains salt and is therefore disastrous on paintwork?
And should rinse water be hot/warm/cold?

washing up liquid is TERRIBLE for paint! it forms a layer over the paint and dulls it! it makes your £2000 paint job look like a £1 roller job! i advise using proper car wash and wax, it save the paint and helps protect it! i normaly use a hose to rinse off, so that's cold.

I've got one of those autoglym packs too!
I Hose the car down,
Prepare the wheels with Autoglym Clean Wheels,
Spray the screen, headlamps, grille etc with Bug & Tar Remover,
Wash the car with Williams F1 car shampoo (gives a great lather),
Dry using a squeege board then finish off with a chamois,
Apply a layer of Autoglym Super Resin Polish, then polish off,
Apply another layer of A-S-R-P and polish,
Use Autosol on chrome bumpers and under riders,
(or use bumper gel on Polly Polo's black plastic bumpers and arches),
Use Autoglym Glass Polish on the interior and exterior glass and mirrors,
Finally spray the tyres with Autoglym Tyre Black treatment,
Then I get a dry cloth and clean any water, residue from inside the door shuts, boot lid shuts etc,
Then hoover the car inside
and hey presto, job done!
