Well I got your flyer, so thought I would stick my head in and have a look. It was a great day on Sunday wasn't it. We nearly overheated going into Brighton, we had to make a detour to cool the engine a little. Got loads of pictures I will post when I work out how.

Hi JamesM,

Well done for making it to the site! Nice to know you got the flyer.

I saw a few minis pulled over on the side of the road, one with steam pouring out of the rad. :erm:

As for the pics, sign up to the gallery (link on the forum) and you can then upload the pics onto it. Then when you post and add an image. [If you need anymore help send me a message]. :smartass:

I will give it a go now... We lined our cars up at 4.30 in the morning, then couldn't get back to sleep. Was a little bit of a long day.

Hi Charliebrown

My Mini is the bright blue one (Percy) .

JamesM & I and our repective other halfs travelled down together.

And yes - it is a CB ...best line I heard on it all weekend was a guy in the Southern Mini Owners club come over the CB and ask if his mini should be running with the temp in the red!

Cheers
Pippy

Ha ha, i think quite a few minis were probably running in the red, mine was ok thought (K&N helped I think).

Do you have a funny call sign like, Big Daddy?

As in: Come in Easy Rider, this is Big Daddy, over :)

hehe - not everyone has one at the mo ...so we are still thinking about the name thing.

I think we are gonna stick with Mini names tho.. so I'll be Percy.

JamesM will be 'Chesney' as his clubby is defo the one and only (tee hee)

The CB radios sound like fun. How much are they?

Do you have to have a licence?

My better halfs is the light blue one in the second pic, as Pippy says hers is the blue one (she thinks it's blue) in the second.

Pippy is going through names of the Dukes of Hazard

My Clubby is a little ill at the mo... I was told at the weekend I should put a sign that say CLUBMAN in ESTATE on the back.

They are dirt cheap really, a 40 channel second hand one will set you back about £20 off Ebay - and all the gubbins to get you up & running cost around a tenner.

As for the license, my hubby knows more than I on that front. But, I think that they are coverd under the household TV lisence thingy.

But, I could be very wrong (and very illegal) in that case - some one correct me please!!! :)
