I did all the research and decided on the pro-mo after weighing up all the options.

there is a kit car firm doing a front engine / rear wheel drive set-up - tiger seems to ring a bell - nottingham way maybe. there was a feature on the yellow mini they did.

It would need to be a painless as possible conversion, front engine fwd seems the way for that

pro-mo for sure then. the miniexvo looks similarly painless but I havnt seen one done yet, or even heard of one, other than the firms own cars.

along with those mentioned above, I have been in contact with Lynx AE, who are in the latter stage of developing a kit.

Can not vouch for the spec / quality, but I have had confirmation it will bolt into the standard front subframe and will not require body mod's. Like pro mo they are keeping the chain drive.

They have been in the latter stages of development for 6 or 7 years I know about, I would look elsewhere

I would go for Z or Pro, joint the happy family at Pro, and later maybe add a Z to the collection?

That's kind of my plan. Start off with a Pro-Motive conversion and then build a Z-Car's Monte Carlo hopefully at some point down the line.

I would go for the Miniexvo kit because of the transfer box.
For what it's worth, Pro-Motive is working on a similar setup that can be added to their conversion. All else being equal I think I'd go with Pro-Motive since they seem to have a larger following and more kits on the road.
