I got mine today and it's pretty rubbish. Placed it up behind the rear view mirror. I got reception on radio one. I connected up the live and earth and it made no difference at all.

Where have people mounted theirs, pictures?

Where and how have you run the wires aswell?

What metal around the windscreen? the scuttle?

Seemed a very good idea at the time, but can't realy see a place I can fit it and hide the wires.

I mounted my ariel underneath the top dash rail. I have a 3+3 dashboard as well so the wires coming down from it are out of site. I pick up all fm channels around my area and even 909/693

I have one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/...id=p3286.c0.m14

Works OK on the stronger stations but unfortunately not on any of the stations I like listening to.

I've got mine under the top dash rail, but I could probably find a better place for it. So far the best reception has been wedging it between the gauge cluster and the rail.

Mine was rubbish, I should have said this sooner, I was fiddling and it fell too part. The wires were not attatched too the aerial plug properly. I got my soldering iron out and now it works good enough.

I had a "RUBBER DUCK" type aerial just lying on the rear parcel shelf, ran the lead down behind the seat, under the carpet to radio.Worked great.(this was back in 69) don't know if R/Ducks are still around.

I've got one on it's way to Australia from China too, keen to test it out. As long as it's 'ok' it'll be fine, I can always bluetooth some music to the stereo.  My mini 1000 has a hole in the roof at the front and centre which I'm going to patch for the old aerial.

I’ve used a Ford antenna module which uses the heated rear screen element as the antenna. Mounted the box on the underside of the rear shelf, works a treat (doesn’t work with DAB though).

Picked this one up from amazon last week. £7.99 and it works just fine. Currently sorting out my dash so not sure where to put it yet but oddly it works better when touching the metal of the steering!
