I make and sell customised stuff like mugs etc..
this is part of a business course in school I chose to do.. as I ain't a registered business or anything do I have to full in a form to advertise on here?
I was hoping to make TMF stickers/mugs/shirts etc
sam

We would ask you to register as a trader if you're producing stuff to sell, buying to sell, selling in large quantities, or offering a service

The other issue here is whether or not you would be breaking copyright by using the forums logo, I don't know the answer to that currently

TMF staff are currently in talks with suppliers in order to offer a range of merchandise!

yeah, I know.. I am currently looking for an admin I can talk to about it.. who would I need to message or call?
thanks for the help with the form :D

I've never had a PM from Ollie either.....

All of the other ones that were delayed, sorry about that.  Sonikk's taking over and some of the PMs have been missed in the process (by me).  I thought I'd edited the post telling people who to PM, but hadn't.

If anyone's still waiting, please resubmit the PM to Sonikk

If you PM Sonikk4 with all of the details required, you'll be able to register as a trader.  Then you can advertise in the trader's section.

Hi Jordie

I understand what your saying but this is only in the early stages at the moment as there is nowhere in our local for these facilities  the idea was to find out if members in my local area would be prepared to us this type of service IF it were available

we have no business name yet

we have no premisses yet

we have no registered vat number or business number yet

until we are satisfied that we will be able to make it viable

therefore I cannot see why we need to register as a trader if we are not

if you decide to remove my post from the general area then so be it

but that would simply detract from what we are trying to achieve

members only go to traders if they require components so we would miss the boat if you get my meaning

Hope this helps

Pat

Would also like to point out I've requested contact details of another trader because I suspected he was non UK and was never given them - nor was it confirmed if he was UK or not.

I've since found out the business is definitely not UK and I think it is appropriate that the Traders status be shown as UK or not - otherwise members may be exposed to non Uk practices and as such lose money or receive items that are not regulated in the UK.

I'm sure 99% of Traders would have no issue with being known as a true UK based operation. None of the "supplies from the UK" whilst sat on the continent rubbish which means they have no obligation to abide by UK safety law.

Worth a thought TMF powers that be??
