Nice build mate, Will definately track this topic :(

You better be a quick learner as that welder will come in handy a bit :D Was gonna get a welder myself but I know naff all about welding!

Check out minidans build further down the honda page, he's using standard roundnose along with 10's, but he got I believe a custom exhaust manifold which you could buy back then.

With the allspeed frame using a standard roundnose you obviously cannot use the existing honda radiator so you need an alternative smaller rad or get a custom one made (get used to that word - Custom!)

Alternator location, allspeed do an alternative bracket to house it at the front but higher up but only for clubmans and extended noses, for yours its......yep a custom bracket you need to make and house somewhere, I think the inner front wing is usually a good point.

Exhaust manifold, you cant use the standard honda as it sits too far forward and hits the allspeed frame, you used to be able to buy a purpose built manifold/downpipe that falls close to the block and was ideal but this aint available AFAIK, this is one that minidan above bought when it was available. For yours it will be that word again......

Inlet manifold, the standard honda inlet wont fit, you either need to cut your bulkhead a bit or chop the inlet to suit the clearance you got which aint alot, not sure if you can get a smaller inlet? Alternative is injection throttle bodies which fit straight on with no bulkhead mods but this brings it own probs depending what ecu etc your using?

What other plans you got for the car? Track dayer? Daily driver?

Top marks to you for keeping roundnose aswell as it seems you either need to be good with a welder or just buy everything custom?

Oh and with the allspeed subframe they take rose joints, so if you got your own "aftermarket" ones your using already they wont fit, if your buying there tie bars and adjustable arms then that fine

Good luck ;)

I'll shut up and let you post some more pics up!

Sorry mate, correction on the exhaust manifold front

I meant the standard exhaust manifold fits the allspeed frame but will only clear with clubby or extended fronts, your standard nose wont clear.

There might be contacts for the guys who made the 16vclub stuff, might be worth enquiring over there?

Nice one on the sleeper, costly but well worth the effort (effort being cost!) :dontgetit:

decided to use the allspeed frame as i want to keep a standard front on 10" wheels

Posted Image

10" or 10cm? :P I think it looks pretty retro on those pallet ones :D

Nice job on the bodywork side, and LSD eh? :) Good find!

If you do get stuck on the exhaust manifold side of things and are not able to chop one up then check out my topic at the top of the page, I've found the place that did the 16v shop ones, its pricey but its there as a fail safe back up :)

Oh and that mount to the left of the clutch slave cylinder is not needed, only the other gearbox one on the top

Nice progress so far
