Engine spec:

Freshly rebuilt 1330cc A series.
Replaced rods and crank, Reground +10 crank. Rods and crank crack tested.
New big end, main, and thrust bearings.
New oil pump
Payen AF460 Copper head gasket
Gearbox stripped, checked and rebuilt
All new gaskets, thermostat, etc.
+060 Pistons and rebore 3k ago.
Piper 285 cam, adjustable cam pulley (Duplex)
Canems electronic ignition (Coilpack and MAP sensor setup)
Superlight flywheel, orange diaphragm, 3k old clutch plate.
Vizard spec head (ported)
HIF44 Carb
Hardened Diff pin
New diff seals and rod change anti leak kit (it didn't leak before but I fitted a new kit whilst I had the box off)

Setup and rolling roaded by Bogg Bros, making 85bhp at wheels according to previous previous owner. Pulls strong, very torquey for a cammed engine.

Body:
Fiesta front brake conversion (Stops pretty well!)
6x10 Wellers with Yoko Semi-slicks (about 60% tread left)
Resprayed approx 6 months ago in Ford Radient Red with black roof - Very shiny, no rust. Couple of flaws in it but minor.
Solid mounted front subframe
HiLos f+r
Poly bushed front end
Almost new Spax adjustable dampers.
Mint Stainless steel overrider bumpers
New locks all round (to get matching keys)
New chrome side mirrors
New Pressed alloy black/silver plates
H4 conversion headlamps
Brand new battery
Reconditioned Alternator

Interior:
Rear half roll cage
Cobra Monacos (Red)
Sparco Harnesses
Fibreglass Dashboard with digital speedo/instrument panel
Mountney Steering wheel
TIM Rev Counter
Oil Pressure guage (showing plenty!)

Other bits: Comes with an unfitted TIM ammeter, A pair of brand new round chrome side mirrors (£50) and 4x brand new spotlights (£55)

Faults: Gearchange not the tightest (I might just be comparing it to modern cars and being too picky though. Play seems to be in the selectors rather than the box. More than likely the roll pins on the rod change, as it didn't seem very tight)
Seat mounts are a bit pants (They hold the seat in perfectly well, just look a bit crap!)

I bought this car for £2400 2 months ago, and I've spent about another £700 on it and LOADS of hours. My mum has recently been in hospital and will be off work for 6months+, and I've just lost a major contract at work so I'm earning less and having to contribute a lot more to keep a roof over our head.

Unless I can secure some solid work in the next couple of weeks (unlikely!) I'll need to put the mini up for sale, to pay off some debts and give me a bit of a buffer til some work comes up. Bloody real world is getting in the way of having a nice car!

I know I won't get my money back, and I'd rather price it a bit lower for a quick sale. What do you think I should advertise it at?
Also If anyone is interested and wants to make me an offer, send me a PM because its 99% likely going to have to go >_<

I think most people would be happy to pay £2500+ for it.

Think Positive >_<

The best thing to do is to advertise it everywhere you can. All the mini clubs and freeads and things. Some lucky enthusiast will be glad to take it off your hands.

Nice looking car, assuming that its as good as it looks and is as described then I'd say you'd get £2300ish for ir.

The roll cage and the race type mods will put a lot of people off, if theres any standard parts you can re-fit then all the better. Sell the other parts on fleabay to re-coup more cash as well.

Wellers aren't everyones taste either, I do like em though!!

The main factor will be the time of year, now isn't a great time to sell a "Toy" car as most peeps are now thinking about xmas.

Good Luck

That's lush! Tasty spec aswell >_<

I'd definately pay about £2500 if it's as good as it looks! I'd be tempted if I didn't already have my mini...

Good luck with whatever you choose to do, and as Shifty says, you could put some standard parts back on and sell your spares.

All the best, Matt
