Ok.. so basically im thinking of selling my beloved as i don't have the time, space, money or inclination to work on her atm.

88' Mini City E, Black, 82k miles, original engine/gearbox, runs very well. Currently on 12" Minilights with good nankangs.

MOT until March, no Tax currently.

Shes in a fair condition, got half way through re-spraying the doors and rear-quarters before uni started (3rd year) then swiftly ran out of time. So currently, those are both in primer, awaiting spraying. Currently no *necessary* welding, although preventative replacement could be useful. Again, time / money. The front end could do with some form of work as some rust is beginning to come through at the welds. I'm not sure if this is repairable or new panels would be needed. A panels fine, its mostly around the headlight rims and front valence.

Mechanically shes fine, runs a treat. The bearing has gone on the rear nearside radius arm, although i do have a replacement that needs a quick clean up. This includes the full running gear for that side should anyone want it. Radius arm, brakes etc.

Basically... she'd be perfect for a project with a flipfront.

So.. any idea around a selling price?

Cheers, and thanks for reading, its a long post!!

EDIT: Pictures to follow... Havent got camera at the mo!

No idea of the value but if you mention the year those who do have an idea will be able to help more :-

PS Be reassured, post length is comparative, your post is quite short in comparison to some of mine...

Edit - nice work, I see you've edited your post to add 1988 ...

Just based on the description, for which the 'perfect for a flip front' suggests front end rotten and needs replacing...

Couple of hundred, Mot actually helps a bit, but without tax a buyer cannot 'drive it away'

Pictures would help loads...

My Mini City E '89 on 12" Minilites with 4 good Nakgang tyres on, full MOT, full tax. 36000 miles. No work needed doing was £1700 so if the work was done around that figure id imagine.
In that condition you described, bar photos, will be a few hundred at most. Depends how bad.

I have a good eye for prices since i spent about a year shopping around for mine and saw loads in loads of different conditions :tumble:

Now taxed and back on the road, forgotten how much fun they are to drive!! Basically the exact opposite from the daily drive scirocco. :) Not in as much of a money jam now, so probably gunna leave her and spray her up. Thanks for the valuations though guys :P

Oh and Guessworks i'll definately be in contact within the year. After a high spec gearbox for a turbo... But thats a new project. :P
