Pictures please...

How are the common areas? Any rust on the body?

Your not looking to get millions, just a wee bit more than the good condition 998's you see on eBay.

cars like this are tricky to value and hence sell.

why ? - because as a seller you want to ask a premium due to the low mileage and its originality.

most buyers of minis want to use them so they will increase the mileage, the body panels will rust and then its just another ordinary mini.
the depreciation for the buyer is then massive and hence the appeal to buy your mini is somewhat squashed.

yours isnt a limited edition so that wont really help with future values.

in today marklet I would say its probably worth £3000-£4000
whether you would get a private buyer at £4000 i wouldnt really like to say.

as for future values if you stopped using it and stored it correctly to protect the condition then of course it can only go up in value as each year goes by.

They are worth your best offer on them.
I tried to sell a low mileage one owner car last year and although people said it was worth x.y.z the best atual offer I had on it was not anything like that amount and this car had and still has no rust.

i tried to sell a 1985 mini 1000 like this last year for a friend

2 owners 20k miles always garaged totally original MOTed and taxed

just couldn't sell it started at £1500 in the end it went locally for £500, people just seem to want wide wheels and all the go faster bits rather than a solid original car ;D

insurance value 5k, sale value 3kish, would take an age to find another but at the moment people dont seem to pay a premium for a low miles orginal car, as said above i had a customers 2000 cooper sport with 8k on the clock full service and all the bills, saw a lot advertised at 7-8k ended up selling it for 5500 and thought i was doing well to be honest
