With the live broadcast of that horrible soap opera this evening (my misses watched it, I didn't), I thought I'd upload this video to YouTube for a few reasons: -

Well the long since departed character Roy Evans (as played by Tony Caunter) actually starred in 'The Italian Job' in 1969. Okay he only had a small un-credited part and he was the prison guard at the beginning who told Charlie Croker to

'keep the noise down Croker, you're not out yet'

.

So he never actually got to ride in the Minis, but he's clearly smitten by them anyway. I assume the example used in that 1995 clip was a Mini Cooper 1.3i? At least the windscreen seal looks thicker?

Can anyone recognise the song that's playing on the radio in the background. I can remember it from then, but I can't for the life of me remember the title or the name of the band?

;D

No problem Mini-jon and thanks, but the name of the band came back to me this morning.

A mixture of old age and a fuddled brain means it's takes time to remember these things.

:dozing: :D
