Right ive had a search but cant find anything, so im just gonna ask and hope somebodys answers, Will 10x5 wellers fit over 8.5 disks?

If you mean 8.4" setup then no

i am not certian which, but the 10x5 or the 10x6 fit by using a 1" spacer, but i wouldnt recommend it due to the stress upon the wheel bearings etc

best bet is to fit minispares 7.5" brake kit thats found HERE

I'll be running 7.5 Cooper S discs and Superfin drums on the rear. 10x6 Revolites :)

Good times !

Lol its funny how a topic like this comes around every few months and you get the usual nonsense that 13's handle like crap.

As we always say time after time if you take you car with bog standard suspension knackered dampers, cones that have been on there 20 years, and worn wheel bearings then just slap on a set of 13 inch wheels then it will handle like crap.

However if you do the job properly get a fully ajustable suspension front and rear, new dampers and cones and then get it setup properly, then 13's can handle just as well as 10's.

Only draw back is it cost more money ;)

That is, to the word, exactly what I was going to say.

All the 13's haters fail to mention more than half the above.

i remain passive and feel that 10s 12s 13s 14s and 15s look great on the corect style. it really is all about good practice and car maintenance, but i do love the 10s

I'm in the same boat as you guys. If the car is setup with the RIGHT parts then 13's would perform just fine. 13's offer BETTER gas mileage, and with a WIDER contact area are likely to offer much more grip. Sure, you may lose a little on your take off speed but you'll surely add a little to your top end. Dexter currently has 10's on him (and I am keeping the wheels/tires in case I want to run them later on) but he will be getting 13's soon enough. So again, set your Minis up properly and the 13's will perform great and look ace.

if its just looks, since we have established that, given correct funding wheel diameter in relation to proformance is irrelevant, then i would have to say, deep dish retro 10"s all the way, they look the sex. look in the tmf 10" wheel thread, its porn. also i think the 10" looks more in proportion than the 13"

Thought i'd use this topic to ask rather than start a nu one.

what would look better on a blue 1275GT with anthracite roof and stripes, and smoothed group 5's?...

10x5 wellers inside out so they fit over my 8.4's and stick out the right amount, in anthracite with blue rim

or

13x5.5 Team dynamics in anthrcite with spacers (i already have these ready to fit.)

i, with my completley non biased opinion, would have to go with 10" not sre about fitting them backwards though, got a picture? that might look, odd.

10 x 5 wont fill those arches out i dont think, fitted in reverse? there deep dish arnt they? are you sure you have that right? anyway team dinamics are sorta cool but i think wellers in anthracite would look great!

wellers fit over 8.4 if they have 1 inch spacers. easy as that ;) but i think they have to be 10 x 6

Strange actually because (probably my bias view) but i always feel that clubmans with the bigger front carry off 13's better than round noses but that probably just me looking through rose tinted specticles! ;)

Oh and if you have group 5's you will need 6 or 7 inchs to fill them!

Each to their own.

In my case my car had the guards tubbed at the rear and cut at the front, so I needed flares big enough to cover the opening.

That kind of made the decision 13 inch as all of the other flares were too small in diameter.

I went for the 13x7 and am really happy with them. In some ways the 10x6s would have fit with my retro theme better, but.... such is life.

If in doubt - get both!
