Why don't we have a Bini section? It would broaden the forum and stop all this. Can we not have Classic Mini Chat and BMW Mini Chat?

Dan :(

just an idea, people are saying it would be nice to have a copmment saying the thread will be closed for cleaning, obviously you dont have the time to do that, why not justpost a thread in the FAQS section explaining why a thread will be closed and usually without warning so when threads become invisible then people know whats going on?

That's a good idea. You could spin it round and label posts if they are permanently closed - there's usually some staff discussion before any are locked for good.

Biniman shouldn't have been banned, although I think there is a discussion between the mod who banned him and the user about this, but this forum is becoming a joke...

What is an(unfunny) joke is people setting up accounts and then arguing with themselves just to cause trouble.

Strictly against forum rules and an instant ban.

I think the coloured writing is being a tad childish, almost as if to say "Look at me, I'm a mod". But what do I know anyway.

It is TotalMINI that is apparently ‘the’ MINI forum. I think MINI2 was sold and changed or something, but I’m not certain as MINIs are not my interest (however, their relationship with mini is). TotalMINI do have a mini section.

+1!

I also find it interesting how attitudes change as people move up the ranks on this forum. I can remember the days when comments were being made by now current mods, about how OTT the mods are on the threads. Yet they are doing exactly that now! ;)

I know you all work tirelessly at keeping the views of people in one direction ;) but i will be the first to admit i have reported a comment made by a MOD on here as it was offensive and to be honest, racist. Strangely though, the comment never got removed or even edited. I also didnt get a PM as to why the comment was left on the topic like i requested. I was not the only one to spot this as a discussion was had on a the not so ott moderated and infinately larger family forum know as Facebook :)

I have friends who are MODs on here and i know they work hard, but getting upset when they get attacked i'm afraid it comes with the job description. Special Constables dont get paid for what they do and they do it in their spare time, yet they have to tolerate the reactions they get due to being an authoritive figure. Yes this forum needs MODs but to what degree of severity needs to be looked at. I'm on a few unmoderated forums and they strangely seem to be a more chilled out place than one where the bits that might offend your little toe nail are removed before you see them.

Anyways, thats probably me banned, so if you dont all hear from me again then goodbye and its been fun :)

Main problem is lack of communication....you have a member of admin saying they always listen to what the members opinions are...then another official saying they rarely look at any suggestions made.

I have advocated several changes that would make TMF better for all, and, except from a polite reply from one official, all have been totally ignored. My question is "Do the admin/mods care what members want"?
