Ok im out of my knowlege here now, i dont know what i need.
For my mot next year i need to rebuild my rear subframe (including radius arms and brakes, getting reconditioned ones tho)
I know when i take off my rear subframe i will need parts also but i dont have a clue what parts ill need to replace or what they are called.
Basically i need a rear subframe, and all the parts connected. Can anyone help me do this as i dont have a clue what i need. ill also need brake parts, like pipes but i know that but what is the three way thing called?
Cheers

subframe
radius arms
radius arm shaft/rebuild kit (x2)
brake assy (or built up from seperate parts - cylinder, back plate, shoes, springs, shoe retaining springs, adjuster mechanism)
rear brake drums
rear copper brake pipes (from radius arm to cylinder), also check you have a banjo bolt and new sealing washers
rear flexible brake pipes
Handbrake quadrants
rubber donuts
cones (or hilos & extension rods)
knuckle joints
Nuts & bolts for holding on brake system to radius arm)
rear wheel bearings & seals (usually in a kit)
rear wheel hubs
hub nut (IIRC, but then I haven't had mine apart yet)
and then for the mounting:
bolt kit (look on minispares or ebay. they have all the bolts you need in them)
brackets (again, check minispares for the relevant parts)
bushes (for the brackets).
You'll need to make sure you get the later bush and brackets. the early cars had 2 large for the front, and two small for the rear. newer cars (yours) had 4 small ones.

you can buy fully built backplates from minisport - just bolt them on attatch the pipes, bleed them and go!

Bit of a hijack here but easier than a new topic.
I am getting a second hand subby but it doesnt have exhaust hangars on it.
Can i buy these or should i hack them off the old one i have now?
ideally i dont want to hack them off as i might be able to clean the thing up and flog it on.
cheers and sorry jackman. i dont like the idea of doing the rear subby much.
And a 3 way thingy is called a Threesome or menage-a-trois i believe  :smartass:

I think it depends on the age of the car, because on older cars I believe it was a pressure regulating valve to ensure that the rear braking wasn't too good !!
