hello again,
ok got a new fuel pump today to replace my broken one. i now have a problem, my old pump was a 800 type (there a three mechanical types: the 700, 800 and AZX) ibought a AZX type. can i use the AZX type insted of an 800. the rubber block thingy is the same. and the mount holes arfe the same??
so can i??

if anything it sounds like a newer version and therefore could well be an upgrade.

i think it is. screw it i'm going to do it. i'll tell you if it exsplodes.

AH, found ot it is the same pump, just the new one has a HUGH flange on it were it's screwed together.
fitted it almost. my engine ate one of the spanners so now i have to wait till tommorow.
edit......again....
dose anyone have a clue were my spanner could have gone. i was using it on the right hand of fuel pump (from the front) and i dropped it then....gone. it's not under the car i can't find the fugging thing

Spanner's probably sat sniggering on the subframe.

it will be fine as long as u have the plastic spacer plate
