hiya guys.

after some changes and putting in more oil into my mini it seems to be making a slushing sound coming from the back of the vehicle when i stop. its as if u can hear a tide of liquid of some kind splashing which lasts for a couple of seconds. any ideas? the oil reading is just below maximum.

cheers, tim

I don't quite follow, but from what I understand it just sounds like the petrol is sloshing around the fuel tank. I can hear it in mine if pulling up to an abrupt stop if its about half full.

ok guys.. just one other thing i gues...

i need a new exhaust as mine has pretty much rusted off (Well it wasnt completely rusted until i took it to KAP in folkestone (avoid) and when i got it back it was completely off. They have been pretty bad. Anyway, they've quoted me for £60 for a new exhaust (inc fitting parts etc.) is this reasonable? I have a 1990 City. Thanks

not bad i guess if thats a stanard exhaust but for about the same you can get an rc40 which will look and sound better plus it may even increase power a bit.

rc40 is the next step up in terms of exhausts, it improves gas flow from the engine, sounds roarty and looks cool.... treat yoursxelf to a stage 1 kit, which will include inlet and outlet manifolds...rc40 and fitting kit along with a carb needle and improved air filter...will make a big difference

Just had a new standard exhaust fitted to mine, cost me £39.00.

my mini also did this when i first got it.

this may sound stupid but my slushing sound came from rain water which had gathered where my spare wheel was.

so you might want to check there.

in relation to the £39 quote for a new exhaust, did that include them installing it for you?
